Coming Full Circle - Our Collab With Pie Sci!

We are really excited for this.  There is a whole backstory that you can read about at M10 Social (Doug’s digital marketing website complete with Doug’s Music Snobbery Blog and Doug’s History Blog) and it is absolutely WORTH the read.  Great business lessons that we have carried forward to the present day as we launch a collaboration with one of the best pizza joints on the planet – Pie Sci!!!

Coming Full Circle – Our Collab With Pie Sci!

We mentioned this in our last blog post about the 6 Best Ways to Eat Detroit Jerky and we’re pretty fired up.

It is a bit of a cosmic coincidence as well.  The out-of-country guests with us when the original thing referenced in the M10 Social article happened 5 years ago were here in Detroit for a specific event.  That same event was here again this week and we hosted more out-of country guests on the eve of this collaboration.  This just adds to the feeling of coming full circle.  It is almost five years to the day that Pie Sci pizzas will be flowing with our jerky on them!

Starting Monday August 5th 2024 Pie Sci will offer a specialty pizza for one week with Detroit Jerky on it.

The creation is the “Jerk Van Houten” (a Simpsons reference that you can Google if you need to) and it will be available as a vegan pizza (vegetarian and gluten free options are also available).  They are topping it with garlic oil, mozzarella, Michigan Cherry Bomb Detroit Jerky, mushrooms, sauteed peppers and onions with herb mayo drizzle.

It will be available all week at both the Detroit and Oak Park locations, and both locations will be selling bags of all the Detroit Jerky flavors for the week as well!  We cannot wait!  To have the best Detroit Pie Scientists come up with a signature creation to include our jerky that all of our friends can enjoy?  I mean, does it get much better?
